Hi guys! Here in Canada, there can potentially be 4 things to celebrate this weekend~
1) Valentine’s Day – Hope everyone is spending quality time with their significant other. But you should be nice to your significant other all year round. It shouldn’t take a special day to make us realize that.
2) Lunar New Year – If you’re from a country that uses the lunar calendar, Happy New Year! This is typically the case if you’re Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Mongolian, Tibetan, or pre 1873 Japanese. If I missed anyone, sorry ^^;;
3) Family Day – This is a holiday added by the Canadian government just over 2 years ago. We’ll take it! It is also celebrated in some other places around the world.
4) Reading Week – University students in Canada get a week off in February. It’s roughly equivalent to Spring Break, but way less fun, unless TV is lying to me.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. We at Aesir wish everyone a happy and safe holiday to everyone in the Mabi community.
I’d also like to take a chance to advertise our newly updated Members page and a working video section in the Gallery. To all Aesir out there, this might be a good chance to record some good videos and maybe I’ll throw it in the video section. If anyone from outside Aesir wants to contribute, we’re willing to add your video/screenies/artwork as long as it’s cool
This should be a fun event. Wonder if it will let you race against friends.

Ski Event Coming Soon!
When winter arrives and the skies fill with gently falling snow, the first thought in our minds is: “Oooh! When can we go skiing?” The answer, in Mabinogi at least, is soon! Very soon, you’ll get the chance to tackle the snow-filled slopes of the Nubes Mountains, home of the Giants.
When you log into Mabinogi, you’ll get a quest called “Let’s Have a Ski Race.” Make your way to the mountain pass just east of Sella Beach. You’ll know you’re in the right spot when you see a bunch of red and blue flags. Make your way to the summit, click the orange and white starting flag to strap on your skis, and bam! It’s time to thunder down the hill!
Control your movement with the W, A, S, and D keys. W makes you ski faster, A turns you left, D turns you right, and S slows you down. To perform a power slide, press the spacebar.
If you can race down the mountain fast enough, your reward will be a warm and comfy Sheep Robe! The perfect item to snuggle up with after a cold day on the slopes!
Finally a place to just relax and have fun. Also a real reason for all the swimsuits everyone should have after that owl event. I haven’t had a chance to visit it yet but I hear the monkeys can sometimes give good items ^^ guess its time to take out your chef hat or get a friend who cooks to make you something nice to share with the monkeys.

Zardine Hot Springs
You’ve spend a long, hard day in the dungeons…now it’s time to relax! Perhaps you have a swimsuit you’d like to show off? Head to the Zardine hot springs for a relaxing dip in warm, soothing pools of water. It’s even said that the magical waters of the region have a special effect on those who bathe in them!
When you get to the hot springs, take a look around and decide which relaxation therapy best suits your needs. Some pools will increase your muscle mass, others will reduce it. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll need to spend a considerable amount of time in a particular pool before you’ll notice a visual change.
As you lounge about the pools, you may notice curious primates nosing around. These monkeys are probably hungry, and sharing your food might brighten their spirits.
Depending on how much the monkey enjoys the food you’ve fed it (those picky critters like home-cooked meals over store-bought ones), you will be given something in exchange, a token of the monkey’s gratitude, so to speak. The monkeys of Zardine are known to be collectors, so if you give them something they’ll go bananas over, you may receive something amazing in return! Such items include a Hot Spring Cap, Battle Short Sword, Marshal Shield Enchant, crafting items, and even gemstones!

Flaunt your Halloween spirit!
Witches, ghosts, black cats, trick-or-treating, and of course, pumpkin carving… They’re all staples of the spookiest season of the year: Halloween! Can you put your steady-handed fossil restoration skills to work in the real world? Can you operate a knife and scooper on a pumpkin as well as you can a chisel and brush on a fossil? It’s time to find out!
Carve something Mabinogi-related onto a pumpkin for Halloween, and then post a picture of it in this thread. If the judges pick your entry as one of the five winners, your account will be credited with 30 days of Fantasy Life Club. Hurry, this event only runs from 10/28 to 11/3!

Sorry about the lateness of this post, but it’s still relevant for Tarlach (yay) and Alexina. I’m not so sure people from other servers really cares about this website anyways, hehe. If you’re really interested in the event, you can check the wiki or the forums for more information from the guys that have already done it on Ruiari and Mari. Since there are only prizes for the first 3 party, preparation and co-ordination between all 8 members is essential.
GM Manhunt!
Mabinogians a GM manhunt is on the way!
There will be three GMs hidden in and around Erinn, your job is to find them and use the information they give you to find the fourth GM.
The 3 GMs will be spread out between the continents of Uladh, Rano, Physis, and Connous. Your party will need to scour the surface of Erinn in order to locate all three GMs. Each GM will periodically be giving out hints as to where they are located. Once you do find one, they will give you a hint to the location of the fourth GM.
* GM 1will name of dungeon in which 4th GM is hiding.
* GM 2names the item to be dropped in the altar to enter the dungeon in which the 4th GM is located.
* GM 3 will name the eight items need to be traded to the 4th GM in order to receive the prize.
Work in parties of 8 to look for the GMs and find the 4th GM.
The first 3 parties to find the fourth GM and trade them all the items will win 3 Soldier Gachapon as well as 10,000 NX.
The GM event will take place on:
Mari: September 17 @ 3:00pm – 6:00pm PDT
Ruairi: September 18 @ 3:00pm – 6:00pm PDT
Tarlach: September 21 @ 3:00pm – 6:00pm PDT
Alexina: September 22 @ 3:00pm – 6:00pm PDT

Strategy Video Contest
Hail, Mabinogians!
To participate, use the YouTube video reply function on only the video below (direct link here). The Mabinogi staff has provided an example of how to perform the “Ice Counter.” Feel free to take advantage of the YouTube “annotations editor” feature so that you may make notes regarding important points in your strategy video.
We strongly suggest players use the in-game recording function, but if you prefer another method of recording, you will not be penalized or disqualified.
Give a brief description of your video in the video information window and be sure to include your main character’sname and server.
This event will run between July 29th and August 12th.
Some of you are already reaching into various Dan ranks, improving your disciplines, and refining your abilities. How do you make use of such powerful abilities? Anyone can windmill, but it takes a true warrior with finesse to perfect it– to utilize it in a strategic fashion. Are you willing to share your secrets with the rest of the Mabinogi population? What tricks do you have up your sleeve when you find yourself in the middle of a trap in the dank and musty Rundal dungeon? Do you use a pet to draw attention away from yourself while you wind up a killer magic attack? Maybe you have a special way of catching fish! Are there any cooking recipes you find that allow you to speed up your training method?

Thunderbirds are gone, so they have to replace it with the functional equivalent. Hope you guys got your thunderbirds while you could, although the eagle looks nifty even if you didn’t. Although I did buy a thunderbird, it’s not as cool as I hoped. Still waiting for a broomstick and black unicorns.

Take to the beaches for this fun summertime event! Smash watermelons for a chance at prizes, but be careful! Some may contain vengeful monsters lurking within!
