Hey, everyone! How are you all on this faaahn summa day?
As Kyo has most graciously informed us, the Dragon Boat Racing event is back.
It involves (Short version ;D)
1. Taking La Terra Highlands Mana Tunnel and heading to the raft start point.
2. Gathering a party and firewood.
3. Applying for a boat to be made (costs 5k, talk to the Native by the raft start point).
4. Clicking to enter the boat.
5. Clicking on one of 8 boat paddles, hunkering down, and rowing when the boat starts.
**Many parties have designated steerers and most proclaim “no steering”, so be cautious **
6. Along the way, Hobogoblin bandits, shamans, and whatnot will attempt to shipwreck you by means of river pirating. IGNORE ALL the hobogoblins EXCEPT the ones that jump onto the raft. Parties will usually have a predetermined hit man to take these out.
7. REMEMBER, stick to the paddle at all times! When you get hit, stick to the paddle. When crit smashed by a hobogoblin( ) -maybe you can drink some hp potions- stick to the paddle!
8. If the less than eight minutes have elapsed when you reach the finish point, you will be awarded a dragon boating prize box, which contains so-so rewards!
Prize List: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/index.php?title=Dragon_Boat_Racing_Event
9. Stay on the boat for a few minutes after it docks, and you will be transported back to the loading station by La Terra Mana Tunnel!
If anyone wants to raft just hit me up!
‘Till next time.
Oh Oh Oh and a shoutout to Vi for helping me with white spider farming…You’s Awesome ^^

Guess what guys…I found Bliss’s Headquarters…

The man on the left is Serris.
Nah, I went to Pier 39 with my family and cousin from China today.
Anyways, I’m really looking for a Wing Bow to ego, note me in-game if you have one or know anyone that has one, because I am lazy tired of putting my party sign up and annoying half the server (“God damn Baiyu, stfu, noone has a wing bow”).
Yeah; thanks.
Also, the treasure box event is back for the FOURTH time, if I am not mistaken.
Details here: http://mabi.nexon.net/News/View.aspx?boardNo=200&contentNo=008EU&pageIndex=1
Ttyl, all.

Hi everyone!
This is Baiyu, a recently joined member of Aesir Guild! As an attempt to liven up the website and add more game-related help/hints, I will be starting regular posts that combine a bit of op. ed. (opinionated editorial) combined with random tidbits of in-game info.
This is my pilot post, please don’t be too harsh
On Tara Fair
IT’S BACK AGAIN: the spectacle that gives mountains of ego food in the form of fair prizes to contestants with little lag (<–hammer), and leaves the rest in the dust! There are two games – the more popular hammer and darts. Hammer prizes include cat paw club, conky glasses, purple rose bouquet, yukata (M) nontradeable, japanese fan (nontradeable), likeability potions, and WOOD BOARDS (!). This is a godsend for the skill of handicraft, which is usually near-impossible to train due to the difficulty of obtaining wood boards. Since there is such a large influx of wood boards, I suggest you get yer’ handicraft on! (easy dex). Darts is less popular, and tends to reward players with mushroom cookies, fireworks, and mocha drinks. Yay.
ALSO don’t forget: FREE Tara waxen wings in the Cash Shop every day, one time use, 24-hour expiration date. Use it to warp directly to Tara (and I’m not sure if you can use them in Iria or not).
On Capture the Flag Event
from MabiWiki: The Ice Capture the Flag event has experienced a time adjustment. It will now run from 4:00 PM PST to 8:00 PM PST (7:00 PM EST to 11:00 PM EST).
In my opinion a very poorly planned out event, it consists of joining either a red or a blue team at Port Ceann at the time when Lorna and Pan spawn at Port Ceann in Uladh and either 1)running back and forth the playing field trying to obtain watermelons from the other team and bring them back to your own base or 2)”camping” others by constantly freezing them, waiting for them to defrost, then freezing them again. This “camping” is aided in large by the lack of knowledge that tapping your own team member allows them to defrost. Sadface. The rewards are (as Jewelie mentioned below) pirate clothing that is to my knowledge, UNREPAIRABLE.
On Project RM
While this event sounds extremely rewarding (prizes consist of 30 Nao Soul Stones, a “never-to-be-released” pet and premium character card), the qualifications are both quite confusing and challenging. My understanding of this event is as follows:
1. You “recruit” a friend to make a Mabinogi account, i.e. a Nexon Passport.
2. They must create a Nexon Passport after project RM has started.
3. They must refer you (which they do on the website Nexon.net when they are logged in, under the event tab).
4. Both you and the new character must complete g1, g2, and g3.
http://forum.nexon.net/Mabinogi/forums/thread/5053893.aspx
*according to this thread, players WHO GET REFERRED BY THE NEW ACCOUNT that have skipped g1, g3 are able to go back and do it, though they would not be able to otherwise.
“We will make a special exception for older players who have skipped Advent of the Goddess and Dark Knight. Of course, we think it benefits user experience for players who participate in all the mainstream storylines! Note that a NEW player MUST complete Advent of the Goddess, Paladin, and Dark Knight mainstream story quests. If you are new, DO NOT skip these quests!”
Also, a new character account finishing those mainstream quests, which are mostly solo? Sounds at least tedious, if not difficult, to me.
Conclusion
Nexon has planned plenty of exciting things to keep us occupied during the dog days of summer. Hope to see you all soon!
This is Baiyu, signing off. Till next time~

Hey everyone I just thought I would help promote an upcoming player run event coming up on Tarlach. Below is a copy of the home page for the Tarlach fair (hope Spook doesn’t mind me copying, but I want to help spread the word) To get more information go to the official site of the fair – http://tarlach.wikidot.com/ Hope everyone who attends will have lots of fun!

Welcome to the Party!
June 26th, Saturday 2010, 12 Noon PST / 3 PM EST! Date has been set in stone!
Ch 3, Tara — Be there!
Because Ironically enough, Spook will be managing a stall in an IRL kids fair on the 19th.
This Just in!
Spooklee‘s birthday is a week before the fair offically launches on the Tarlach server once more and due to a conversation with a few of the staff, has decided to do a mini-event in honor of growing older and not really being able to ship his friends 100+ miles to have a proper party. The event will cost players about 10k gold to go pick up a stack of flint and a small or large Balloon kit from the Iria Exploration camp and bring it to Tara. While the exact site for the launch will be announced once the staff has gotten a look at Tara itself, the goal is to get 80 or more balloons into Tara airspace and float over the city! As far as the staff has been able to tell, no one has attempted such a crazy event idea before, not even ont he KR/JP servers! Here’s another tip of the hat to the NA servers for doing something unique and diffrent!
Not a citizen of Tarlach? Check out the progress of the Mari fair that Spooklee inspired to happen. Mari Fair efforts are being managed by FangHimura. Two more servers to go and we can apply to Nexon for company backed player made events!
Welcome to the website for the Tarlach Fair, an event inspired by the players angry with wasting time on Nexon Random Events to get nothing but empty bottles, NPC buyable items, or equipment that was untradable for the opposite gender. With the ride of packet editors and modders during December cheating the skiing event and the people with 20+ characters forcing the owls to give them 20 or more Becky Witch Dresses, Spooklee came to the conclusion hat there was too much negativity going on over Mabinogi and wanted to bring back the good old days of a united community that was here for Fun and Friendship.
With only 3 weeks to work with and a randomly selected date, the first Tarlach Fair was held on December 16th and staffed entirely by Spook’s closest friends, those he trusted the most to be fair and honest to anyone who decided to attend the event. The fair was hosted in Emain Macha, and the staff had guessed maybe 30 people would attend, from the friends they had told and said they would come. When the proverbial gates opened and the Fair announced its first event, over fifty players were packed into the central square about Spooklee, excited and asking questions. As the fair went on and reports filtered in, more and more people kept showing up, asking what was going on and signing up for events.
What had originally meant to be a small gathering of people looking for something different to do ended up being a 200 player party rivaling the lag of the Market channel and boasted the total lack of bots and advertisement spammers. The event itself, understaffed as it was, ended up lasting just over 5 hours and all who attended came back asking for more, saying it was the best run player made event they’d ever seen and maybe Nexon should hire Spooklee. There were even comments from other servers begging Spooklee to make a fair for them too, so jealous they were of Tarlach’s success.
Due to popular demand, Spooklee has agreed to continue organizing fairs for the community of Tarlach, and the Staff is growing as interest is increasing and word is getting out. The fair is run 100% on donated gold, items and time of players dedicated to bring good times and joy back to the community at large. Much to the surprise of the community, Spooklee announced running a fair once every three months rather than twice yearly.
Disclaimer; Spooklee, the filmographers, permanent and temporary staff do not work for Nexon. We have no ability to bend the rules of the game or cause things to spawn where they should not. The fair is completely made by players, for players. There are no GMs in our staff, no Tech staff and no Customer Support Staff. As far as Spooklee can tell, not having a major in Business is preventing Spook from being able to actually work for Nexon. Go figure.
If you want to learn more about Spooklee, there’s a page for that. If you want to see the current staff for the next upcoming fair, there’s a page for that too. Spook is making an effort to consistently update the website as new information becomes available, but only information that is important to fair events. This will not be a general news site nor a patch information website. There will never be a forum here, and membership is limited to those whom Spook can trust for getting a particular job done.

It’s open season on all the bosses residing in the dungeons of Uladh, and you’re invited to get in on the action!
Log into the game on May 5th to receive a quest from Fleta that invites you to browse through the event items she has in-stock. You’ll discover that the wandering saleswoman has churned out quite the Fomor Hit List! Fleta sells four volumes of collection books, with each one upping the requirements for completion.
The first book will send you to four dungeons: Alby, Ciar, Rabbie, and Math. Your chances of obtaining the required item depend on the difficulty of the dungeon. In other words, you have a better chance of obtaining the item from an “Advanced” dungeon than from a “Regular” one.
As you complete the collection book volumes, you’ll be asked to visit more dungeons across Uladh, including Fiodh, Rundal, Coill, and Barri. Complete these collection books to gain some powerful and specially-colored items!
Good luck!

Has lots of events and sign ups seem to be done in the Tarlach section of Mabinogi Life forums. Events being held include: Music, cooking, fishing, PvP, Shadow running and more.
Following is part of the event organizer’s site on the fair: http://tarlach.wikidot.com/ go there for more links and more information.

Hi guys! Here in Canada, there can potentially be 4 things to celebrate this weekend~
1) Valentine’s Day – Hope everyone is spending quality time with their significant other. But you should be nice to your significant other all year round. It shouldn’t take a special day to make us realize that.
2) Lunar New Year – If you’re from a country that uses the lunar calendar, Happy New Year! This is typically the case if you’re Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Mongolian, Tibetan, or pre 1873 Japanese. If I missed anyone, sorry ^^;;
3) Family Day – This is a holiday added by the Canadian government just over 2 years ago. We’ll take it! It is also celebrated in some other places around the world.
4) Reading Week – University students in Canada get a week off in February. It’s roughly equivalent to Spring Break, but way less fun, unless TV is lying to me.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. We at Aesir wish everyone a happy and safe holiday to everyone in the Mabi community.
I’d also like to take a chance to advertise our newly updated Members page and a working video section in the Gallery. To all Aesir out there, this might be a good chance to record some good videos and maybe I’ll throw it in the video section. If anyone from outside Aesir wants to contribute, we’re willing to add your video/screenies/artwork as long as it’s cool
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year~

Ski Event Coming Soon!
When winter arrives and the skies fill with gently falling snow, the first thought in our minds is: “Oooh! When can we go skiing?” The answer, in Mabinogi at least, is soon! Very soon, you’ll get the chance to tackle the snow-filled slopes of the Nubes Mountains, home of the Giants.
When you log into Mabinogi, you’ll get a quest called “Let’s Have a Ski Race.” Make your way to the mountain pass just east of Sella Beach. You’ll know you’re in the right spot when you see a bunch of red and blue flags. Make your way to the summit, click the orange and white starting flag to strap on your skis, and bam! It’s time to thunder down the hill!
Control your movement with the W, A, S, and D keys. W makes you ski faster, A turns you left, D turns you right, and S slows you down. To perform a power slide, press the spacebar.

If you can race down the mountain fast enough, your reward will be a warm and comfy Sheep Robe! The perfect item to snuggle up with after a cold day on the slopes!
