Its that time again for nexon to give the option for those who are rebirthing to get a different style of clothes.
This year the outfits being received are made for trips to the beach. Would be perfect for attending a beach party!

For all of you who are getting tired of the same old pets here’s one that should be fun. With the mimics you have a pet you can hide inside and it also helps decorate your house with fun statues ^_^. Ofc I’m one of those people who can’t seem to get enough pets….1.I’m always wanting more space for clothes and other items, and 2. pets are soo cute! I can’t wait ^^

The Mimics are coming! The Mimics are coming!
Mimics are getting ready to elevate their status over their current “annoying dungeon monster.” The Antique and Wooden mimics are on their way to Mabinogi and we’re going to tell you all about them!
He’s much more affordable than his jeweled cousin, the Antique Mimic. As such, the Wooden Mimic’s statistics are similar to that of White Flame Spiders, Golden Retrievers, and Bluebirds. Being a storage chest has its perks; the Wooden Mimic has an inventory size of 6×6. A large inventory size isn’t the only thing going for this little guy. He allows his owner to hop inside and protects his master by sacrificing his own HP! What a brave little guy! Simply use the ‘mount’ option to hop inside your mimic.
Finally, one of the most interesting abilities available to mimics is the ability to swallow a severely damaged monster and turn it into a trophy statue for your keeping! These statues are functioning decoration options for housing, so be sure to have your mimic at the ready for those rare occasions when a monster is vulnerable to being eaten. Your diligence will be shown as you place your new prize in your house! So much for taxidermy…
Next we have the Antique Mimic. Just by looking at his stature, we can see that he’s quite the fellow, adorned with a rich purple coat and golden filigree, ridges, and hinges.
They’re a bit stronger than their Wooden cousins. Not quite as strong as bears, they can still pack a punch on an unsuspecting monster. Antique Mimics are noticeably larger than Wooden Mimics. As such, their inventory space is significantly larger, 6×9. The larger size also allows for the accommodation of two extra party members to hide inside. The stoicly faithful Antique Mimic will shield those inside from attacks.
Of course, like its cousin, the Wooden Mimic, the Antique Mimic can also swallow severely injured monsters, turning them into statues. You can choose the type of state to produce by outfitting the mimic’s inventory with a certain kind of metallic plate. Nothing in the inventory will produce a cement statue, while gold plates will produce a golden statue.
We hope you’ve enjoyed the sneak-peak into the workings of the chattery mimics! Keep an eye out, they’re coming soon!
Mimics are fun little pets. They come in two different flavors. First, we have your basic, run-of-the-mill mimic, the Wooden Mimic. This little guy looks just like the mimics you saw when clearing Alby dungeon for the first time.

Looks like we’re going to get the biggest update since Iria. Mages rejoice! Chaincasting is on it’s way >:D
Armors will receive set bonuses. Explosion resistance on Dustins. Really? Couldn’t they give it something more useful? =_=
The other two items seem less interesting. A giant dice might have some novelty the first couple days. I’m sure we’re all just going to forget about it soon after. It might make for a good guild event idea or two. As for cooking, there are lots of mods and programs that assist in cooking such that 100 quality foods are created everytime. It’ll be interesting how they plan to judge this… Maybe it’s a trap, just like 99% of the girls in Mabi. Zing!

Looks like I beat Vi to this update. Or maybe we’re just really slow. It’s pretty self explanatory what’s going on here. Nexon did a fine job of describing it on their website. I just copied and pasted the image below.
Looks like we finally might see more Japanese swords on the server. But don’t get your hopes up, gachapons are generally a scam. You MAY get something good, but chances are you’ll get junk. Also, the gachapons cost you an arm and a leg each. I guess it’s really more like lottery… very expensive lottery.

Looks like another fairly large update.
Shield overhaul has come to NA a lot sooner than anticipated. This was changed to offset the fact dual-wielding is far move advantageous than the traditional 1-h weapon and shield combo. From what I understand, dual wielding is still more popular on the overseas servers. Will this possibly bring a comeback in shields in NA? At the very least it provides another option for the secondary weapon slot.
1 on 1 PvP is supposed to provide a dueling system that isn’t broken by the very combat system it’s run on. Alby advanced is rumoured to drop some rare items! All in all, a rather exciting update~
Hello Mabinogians!
Mabinogi will be going through an update on April 8th, 2009. During this update we will be adding new features for you to enjoy. Here are some of the features you can expect to see with this latest update.
-Updated Shield System
Shields have been overhauled with this new update. New animations as well as balance upgrades have been applied to all shields.
-1 on 1 PvP
You can now request 1 on 1 PvP battles with your friends, rivals or total strangers. To start a 1 on 1 PvP Battle follow these steps below:
1. Right click on the person you would like to duel. An option to “Request Duel” will be available.
2. The person who received the duel request will be prompted with a battle request.
3. If the player accepts the battle request a menu regarding the battle rules will be displayed. Once the duel rules have been agreed upon by both players the battle will begin.
-Alby Advanced Dungeon
Gather friends and guildmates to test your skills on the new Alby Advanced Dungeon. Acquire the “Alby Advanced 3-person Formor Pass” and “Alby Advanced Formor Pass” from Alby Regular and Alby Basic Dungeons. If you want a personal challenge, “Alby Advanced 1-person Formor Pass” can be acquired by completing Alby Advanced dungeons.
-Boss Trial
You think you have what it takes to be the number one Boss Hunter? Clear Ciar or Rundal Dungeons to receive Boss Rush passes. Drop these passes on the altar to try your hand at being the number one boss hunter. The clear times will be posted on a ranking board next to the dungeon altar.
- Enchant Collection Book
Obtain Enchant Collection Books by clearing Ciar or Rundal Boss Trial Dungeons. Collect all the items for these books to acquire the new enchants.
-Buff Potions Sale!
New Buff Potions are on sale in Mabinogi’s Item Shop.
1. HP Buff Potion: Temporarily boosts the max HP of a character by 100 for 36 minutes.
2. MP Buff Potion: Temporarily boosts the max MP of a character by 100 for 36 minutes.

Looks like it’s time for another update. I imagine this is where they remove the treasure chest exploration event slated to end on the 19th. Free ego food will be missed. Maybe the economy will stabilize after this fiasco of an event. I hope everyone’s got goggle caps, starlight robes, admiral coats, etc… in stock.
Little detail is provided but we’ll keep you updated if we find anything out.

Edit: The update has concluded early and will open 30 minutes earlier then schedualed. The update will conclude at 1:30 AM PST on March 19, 2009.

The only note of interest in the next scheduled maintenance is humans will be able to learn play dead and stone throwing. Play dead can be learned from Tracy (Dugald Aisle) by completing a quest and stone throwing is learned from Sion (Bangor) by bringing him a piece of cake. Giants cannot learn play dead.
Aside from that, it’s another boring Thursday maintenance.
Edit: The maintenance has concluded early and will open 30 minutes earlier than scheduled. The maintenance will conclude at 10:30 AM PST on March 12, 2009.

The update brings one new channel for each server and an important bug fix. It would crash for some people whenever interacting with an NPC.
G2 is actually free now. Transformation without service was enabled with the Iria update but you couldn’t do a part of G2 without a keyword that was only accessible with service.
Edit: The Update has concluded early and will open 1 hour earlier than scheduled. The Update will conclude at 1:10 AM PST on March 4, 2009.
