Hey everyone ^ ^ Sorry, I’m a little behind on posting this event.  If nothing else this is a great event to help build up your ego weapon, which I have been busy doing all weekend and plan on continuing to do as long as I can.  ♥  Also, a lot of people seem to be having fun making shapes and words with expired chests and taking screenshots.  ^ ^ Have fun everyone!

Treasure Box Event!
April 30th ~ May 6th

All across Uladh and Iria, monsters have begun dropping odd treasure chests. What is a treasure chest without a key? Open a treasure chest with a key for a chance to obtain rare items within! Two different chests can drop, an Ordinary Chest and a Premium Chest. Only Ordinary Keys can open Ordinary Chests, but Premium Keys can open both Ordinary and Premium Chests. Premium Keys also have the virtue of added reward: two items come from a chest instead of just one! Premium Keys may be purchased in the in-game Item Shop.

Take caution; some treasure chests have been used to seal away evil creatures, so be on your guard when you unlock your chests! It’s a sure fire way for a potential prize to become a surprise! Check out the images below for some of the rewards!

Mabinogi Fishing Contest Begins!

Ahoy, m’hearty Mabinogians!

Get those fishing poles repaired and stock up on bait cans! It’s time to see who can catch the biggest fish. The top three anglers on each server from Thursday, April 23rd to Monday, April 27th will have a chance to win up to 40,000 NX! Don’t give up fishing yet, because we’ll be tallying for another chance to win up to 40,000 NX on Thursday, April 30th!

♥ Just wanted to add a little after I had a chance to do the quest a few times myself. ^^ This is a great event to run with friends or for a guild run.  We ran the quest 3 times today and had a lot of fun with it.  I got 2 red flutes and 1 red mandolin.  The more you can get the people in your party to split up the work the more fun you will find with it.  ♥

Mabinogi Caption Contest is Underway!

Greetings, Mabinogians!

We are pleased to announce that the Caption Contest for Mabinogi is now underway! Simply follow this link to the caption contest page. Once there, login to your Nexon ID and submit a caption to the image on the caption page. Captions are limited to 120 characters in length. New images will be released every day, Monday through Friday, until May 7th. Only one caption per account per image is allowed, so make sure that your entry is readable and exactly the way you want it to be before submitting! The Mabinogi Staff will choose its favorite captions and award the winners 10,000 NX!

Gather Your Friends for Party Quest!

Party Quest!

It’s time to party! Gather your friends and speak with Price. The disenfranchised paladin will send you and your friends on a preliminary quest to test your teamwork. If you can complete one of the items on the quest scroll given to you by Price, return to him. Impressed, Price will offer your party another quest; this time to enter and emerge victorious from a dungeon. Should your efforts be fruitful, return once more to Price. He will reward you and each of your friends with a treasure chest, each with the possibility of containing a rare item!

Protect your Easter Egg!

As more and more adventurers head out exploring in the world of Erinn, Chief Duncan has noticed a rising pattern of carelessness amongst Mabinogians. In an effort to improve the wit, balance, and overall performance of new explorers, Duncan has devised a plan to ensure the success of all his pupils. With Easter right around the corner, it will be your job to transport a colorful Easter Egg through the dangerous caverns of Ciar dungeon!

To participate, speak to Chief Duncan in Tir Chonaill. While speaking to the Chief, he will give you a special pass to be used in Ciar dungeon.

Form a party of at least two and travel over to the dungeon entrace. Drop the special pass given to you by Duncan on the altar, and you’ll find yourself in a peculiar new dungeon.

Open up your inventory, you will find that a new item has appeared! A golden Easter Egg!

Fight your way through the dungeon. If you can make it through to the end, you’ll be rewarded with a treasure-trove of special items, gold, and potions!

Here’s your chance to win 20,000 NX. You basically have to take a screenie with a high level field boss with an interesting expression for your chance to win.

There is an interesting anniversary event with an awesome prize! They’re giving away Succubus figurines (sexy!). Based on the picture provided, it seems to be of fairly high quality. The actual size is not known but who wouldn’t want one of these! Unfortunately, the work required to be eligible for the prize is tremendous.

We hope you’ve been taking your cooking tutelage under Gordon and Glenis very seriously! Did you master Rank F cooking? It’s time to bust those baking skills out in the real world! Create a Mabinogi-themed cake, cookie, pastry, or other baked good and post it in this thread. Ask for help if you are unsure of your cooking abilities. The three most mouth-watering and creative contestants will be eligible win a Succubus figurine!


Draw Your Character
March 24th – April 2nd

Don’t you wish drawing in the real world was as easy (?) as it is in Mabinogi? We want to see how talented our players are! Draw a picture of your Mabinogi character and post it along with a screenshot of your in-game alias in this thread. Three of our favorite artists will be eligible to win a Succubus figurine!

Looks like it’s almost been a year since Mabinogi has hit North American shores. It’s pretty successful for a game that’s rather old. There are some interesting events in celebration. Namely the double exp weekends and the music event. I’m thinking of entering a band so if anyone is interested, contact me

Happy Anniversary, Mabinogians!

March 19th will mark the beginning of some exciting anniversary events we have planned for the next couple of weeks!

Among the events you can expect:

*Cake Hats! Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like! Collect slices of cake and take them to Goro or Moro for your very own totally sweet headgear!

*Two weekends of Double EXP! The perfect time to try out an Elf or Giant. Double EXP weekends will go from 3/20 ~ 3/22 and 3/27 ~ 3/29.

*General Store owners have stocked their shelves with special Ice Fireworks. Prepare for the jubilee with your friends and you shoot these crystal blue fireworks in celebration of Mabinogi’s anniversary!

*Mabinogi Music Sensation Competition judged by Mabinogi GMs!

We hope you’ve been pleased with your first year of Mabinogi. The second year is just beginning!

This event is pretty self-explanatory. Normally haikus are about things in nature, but it doesn’t strictly have to be. Get creative and you could win 20 000 NX. The number of winners is not specified. Give it a shot, you might win!

Note: I always argued that fire is two syllables even though most people will say it’s one syllable. I stand by that! Fire had two syllables D:

Mabinogians:

We have a special event to help stimulate your creative proclivities as you pioneer your way through Iria! We ask Mabinogians to post a haiku about Mabinogi! It can be about your first meeting with Nao, completing your Paladin or Dark Knight transformation, or even about the simple pleasures of the cooking profession! Follow this link to a forum thread where you can participate! We will choose our favorite haikus and post them to the Mabinogi website for all to see! Anyone can write a haiku! The typical Western haiku follows the “5-7-5″ format. That is, the first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line has five syllables. That’s it!

Not only will winning Haikus be featured on the event page, but we’ll award the winners 20,000 NX each!
