(Yeah, they're crabs! I know!)

Nexon is releasing two new pets, the Red Rock Crab and the Black Mud Crab.  Not only are they cute, but as you can see they’re looking quite fun.  

Red Rock Crabs and Black Mud Crabs have the ability to entrap monsters and even other players in “status” bubbles! While players can easily break free of bubbles, monsters have a hard time doing so, which gives you and your pet a few invaluable moments to recover and prepare for your next attack.

The Red Rock Crab is naturally a bit stronger, possesses a larger inventor0y (6×7), and stays by your side longer (111 minutes) than the Black Mud Crab (6×6 inventory and 90 minutes, respectively).  But both will serve you well and hopefully make your mood more “bubbly” as you adventure in Erinn.

When the continent of Iria was discovered, many humans discovered they preferred equipping twin swords as they hacked-and-slashed their way through foes. Not necessarily a bad thing, as wielding two smaller weapons commonly unleashed more damage that a single, giant two-handed weapon. But as dual-wielding weapons became more and more popular, two-handed weapons gradually faded into the background, with the exception of a few dedicated warriors.

Swords, axes, and maces have all undergone specific improvements in relation to the Smash and Critical Hit skills. To top it all off, two-handed weapons now have access to new, exclusive enchants: Untamed, Barbarian, and Destruction!

Just kidding. Although not as good as giant pocky, the Cookie Wand event has come to Mabinogi! Buy a wand and chocolate ingredients from Ruwai, under the “Event” tab, equip the wand, have chocolate ingredient inventory, and click a weak monster to turn it into a cookie. It’s like the mimic’s swallowing skill, only more yummy and delicious. Break out the corn tea everybody, the cookie event is here!

Cookie Wand Event

It’s time to satisfy Erinn’s sweet tooth. The Cookie Wand Event has begun! With the help of a magical cookie wand (buy one from Ruwai the Otter, located in the village of Cor), you can create delicious cookie sculptures of the monsters wandering throughout Erinn. You’ll need a supply of chocolate ingredients and one of three flavors of wand: chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry.

Got the necessary ingredients and ready for some sugary goodness? Then venture into the wilderness to find a muse for your cookie. When you’ve found a creature that catches your eye (remember that powerful monsters won’t let you shape them into cookies), equip your Cookie Wand and click on the monster, just like you’re about to attack.

But instead of hitting the monster, you’ll begin to create a magical cookie of the creature you targeted. If successful, you’ll create a delicious treat in the perfect likeness of that monster. Then eat the cookie for stat bonuses! The bonuses you receive depend on the flavor of the cookie. Happy “baking”!
