There is an interesting anniversary event with an awesome prize! They’re giving away Succubus figurines (sexy!). Based on the picture provided, it seems to be of fairly high quality. Create a Mabinogi-themed cake, cookie, pastry, or other baked good and post it in this thread. Ask for help if you are unsure of your cooking abilities. The three most mouth-watering and creative contestants will be eligible win a Succubus figurine!


Draw Your Character
March 24th – April 2nd

Don’t you wish drawing in the real world was as easy (?) as it is in Mabinogi? We want to see how talented our players are! Draw a picture of your Mabinogi character and post it along with a screenshot of your in-game alias in this thread. Three of our favorite artists will be eligible to win a Succubus figurine!

Looks like it’s time for another update. I imagine this is where they remove the treasure chest exploration event slated to end on the 19th. Free ego food will be missed. Maybe the economy will stabilize after this fiasco of an event. I hope everyone’s got goggle caps, starlight robes, admiral coats, etc… in stock.

Little detail is provided but we’ll keep you updated if we find anything out.

Mabinogi will be having a scheduled Update on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009, from 10 pm to 2 am (PST).

This will affect all game servers and the Permium Shop and last for approximately 4 hours.

Looks like it’s almost been a year since Mabinogi has hit North American shores. It’s pretty successful for a game that’s rather old. There are some interesting events in celebration. Namely the double exp weekends and the music event. I’m thinking of entering a band so if anyone is interested, contact me

March 19th will mark the beginning of some exciting anniversary events we have planned for the next couple of weeks!

Among the events you can expect:

*Cake Hats! Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like! Collect slices of cake and take them to Goro or Moro for your very own totally sweet headgear!

*Two weekends of Double EXP! The perfect time to try out an Elf or Giant. Double EXP weekends will go from 3/20 ~ 3/22 and 3/27 ~ 3/29.

*General Store owners have stocked their shelves with special Ice Fireworks. Prepare for the jubilee with your friends and you shoot these crystal blue fireworks in celebration of Mabinogi’s anniversary!

*Mabinogi Music Sensation Competition judged by Mabinogi GMs!

This event is pretty self-explanatory. Normally haikus are about things in nature, but it doesn’t strictly have to be. Get creative and you could win 20 000 NX. The number of winners is not specified. Give it a shot, you might win!

Note: I always argued that fire is two syllables even though most people will say it’s one syllable. I stand by that! Fire had two syllables D:

We have a special event to help stimulate your creative proclivities as you pioneer your way through Iria! We ask Mabinogians to post a haiku about Mabinogi! It can be about your first meeting with Nao, completing your Paladin or Dark Knight transformation, or even about the simple pleasures of the cooking profession! Follow this link to a forum thread where you can participate! We will choose our favorite haikus and post them to the Mabinogi website for all to see! Anyone can write a haiku! The typical Western haiku follows the “5-7-5″ format. That is, the first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line has five syllables. That’s it!

Not only will winning Haikus be featured on the event page, but we’ll award the winners 20,000 NX each!

The only note of interest in the next scheduled maintenance is humans will be able to learn play dead and stone throwing. Play dead can be learned from Tracy (Dugald Aisle) by completing a quest and stone throwing is learned from Sion (Bangor) by bringing him a piece of cake. Giants cannot learn play dead.

Aside from that, it’s another boring Thursday maintenance.

Looks like we’re gonna have some downtime for maintenance.  Erinn time is somewhat synchronized with real time so it should come as no surprise.

Attention Mabinogians,

All Nexon Game servers will be going through a server maintenance on Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 12AM to 6AM PST (GMT -8). All games will be unavailable at this time so please log out safely to avoid any interruptions on your account. During this time we will be transitioning our servers to Daylight Standard Time (DST). This maintenance is important in maintaining the integrity of our database. Please note this time frame may be subject to change. More information may be provided when available.

The update brings one new channel for each server and an important bug fix. It would crash for some people whenever interacting with an NPC.

G2 is actually free now. Transformation without service was enabled with the Iria update but you couldn’t do a part of G2 without a keyword that was only accessible with service.

Edit: The Update has concluded early and will open 1 hour earlier than scheduled. The Update will conclude at 1:10 AM PST on March 4, 2009.
